Hello Everyone!

It’s me Mel, Mel like the one who is running Melinanimeland anime blog, but if you paid attention to the author of this post you probably already know about that.

For some week, in the anime blog round up post, I have been talking about a special project of mine, I had post a picture that you can see as header, those who guess it was a map, were right, but only one guess what the map was for.

A novel

You read right, I’m planning to write my first novel and I have some idea for more, now while this post is in English post of the future post will in French since I will write that novel in French. Why in French some of you might ask, it’s only because french is my native language and I will be more at ease in writing that first book in french.

This doesn’t mean, I will not have English section in this blog.

Since I’m planning to post update on where I am on my writing, I will post it in both language, French and English. I will also translate excerpt of it for those you are curious to know about the book.

Hello Everyone!

Hope you are all going well in this Easter day. I thought to give you some update about where I was in my writing.

I’m currently working on the first chapter and I realize that even it I actually outline it, I just can’t stick to that. It’s like when I write fan fiction, my imagination get loose and then it’s just flowing without necessarily taking the direction I was thinking. At first the MC, Saphirya, (gonna do a proper presentation once the drawing is done, cause yes I’m drawing her) love interest was only supposed to be the son of the chief of the guard, but my brain decide to create a new character that will become an eventual love interest too. We will see how thing goes from there.

J’espère que vous allez tous et toutes bien en cette journée de Pâques. J’ai pensé vous donner une mis à jour à propos de où je suis rendu dans mon écriture.

Je travaille présentement sur le premier chapitre et j’ai réalisé que même quand j’ai une ligne guide à suivre, je ne peux juste pas la suivre. C’est comme quand j’écris des fanfictions. Mon imagination se relâche et j’en perds presque le contrôle. Au début, le personnage principal, Saphirya (je vais faire de vrai présentation une fois que le dessin est terminé, car ou je la dessine), était supposé d’être le fils du chef des garde, mais mon cerveau en a déci.ér autrement et a créé un nouveau personnage qui va probablement devenir un autre intérêt amoureux. Nous allons voir où cela va nous mener.

[English] Excerpt of the First Chapter of Cataclysme

All the highest representatives of the kingdoms were present all dressed in black, wearing a grim expression on their face, standing in the church of the kingdom of Tiera. They were all gathered for the funeral of King Lyeobel, King of Tiera, who died after a long illness.

The bells of the church sounded the end of religious service, the sound echoed throughout the capital of the kingdom, Garedan, the flags adorned with the Serpent, symbol of the royal family of Tiera, had been half-masted.

All the inhabitants of the kingdom had converged to the the capital, they were silent, along the path that the funeral procession would follow, wishing to see for a last time the one who was their sovereign for nearly thirty years. It was a dark day for the kingdom that was losing its beloved king.

Tous les plus haut représentants des royaumes étaient présent tout de noir vêtue, l’aire sombre, debout dans l’église du royaume de Tiera. Ils étaient tous réunis pour les funérailles du roi Lyeobel, roi de Tiera, mort à la suite d’une longue maladie.

Les cloches de l’église sonnèrent signifiant la fin du service religieux, le son résonna dans toute la capitale du royaume, Garedan, les drapeaux ornés du Serpent, symbole de la famille royal de Tiera, avaient été mis en berne.

Tous les habitants du royaume avaient convergés vers la capital, ils se tenaient silencieux, le long du chemin que le cortège funèbre allait suivre, souhaitant apercevoir pour une dernière fois celui qui fut leur souverain pendant près de trent ans. Ce fut un jour sombre pour le royaume qui perdait son roi bien aimé.

[English] Quarinoa

In the extreme east lay the Kingdom of Quarinoa, protected by the natural border formed by the Cerban mountain range and its highest point, Mount Alero frozen in the eternal snow. The kingdom stretched from the foot of the rocky wall to the turquoise waters of the Liris Sea. The capital of the kingdom, where the king resided, Ashora had been built at the mouth of the river Voxalie, which was born between the mountains of the mountain range, with the excavated stone of the Cerban. Ashora was not only the capital of the coastal kingdom, but also the most important harbor city of the continent, the vast majority of ships destined for trade arrived and all departed from the harbor of Ashora. From the quays of the capital, the inhabitants could see the small island of Semiel and the roofs of the village of Verlos and in clear weather the large island of Varyle and its silver-domed lighthouse built on the edge of the village of Samos. Apart from Ashora and the islands villages, there were six other towns and villages in the kingdom. Xidale built in the north of the kingdom near the border with the kingdom Glarya. Departing from Xidale from the north, the travelers would arrive at the village of Asran, village swept by the winds from the sea. Leaving from the south of the village of Asran, travelers will meet on the road, the village of Lesoka, located on the east of the Belas Forest and then going toward the Gulf of Brimland the city of Kalia. Further to the south was the coastal village of Denkal and at the foot of Cerban and the border with the kingdom of Vuntes the city of Ipoly. The Voxalie River was not the only streams of the kingdom, the river had two tributaries, the Lolen River flowing from the north and the Aomin River coming from the south of the kingdom. Further north, the waters of Dinel and its tributary, the Belril River flowed into Daral Bay.

À l’est, s’étalait le Royaume de Quarinoa protégé par la frontière naturelle que forme la chaîne de montagne Cerban et son point le plus haut, le mont Alero pris dans la neige éternelle. le Royaume s’étendait du pied des du murs rocheux jusqu’aux eaux turquoises de la mer Liris. La capitale du royaume, là où résidait le roi, Ashora avait été construite à l’embouchure du fleuve Voxalie, qui prenait naissance entre les monts de la chaîne de montagne, avec les pierre excavées du Cerban. Ashora était non seulement la capital du royaume côtier mais aussi la ville portuaire la plus importante du continent, la grande majorité des navires destinés au commerces arrivaient et partaient tous du port d’Ashora. Des quais de la capital, les habitants pouvaient y voir la petite île de Semiel et les toits du village de Verlos et par temps claire la grande île de Varyle et son phare au dôme argenté construit en bordure du village de Samos. Mis à part Ashora et les villages des îles, le royaume comptait six autre villes et villages. Xidale construite au nord du royaume près de la frontière avec le royaume Glarya. En partant de Xidale par le nord, les voyageurs arriverait au village d’Asran, village balayé par les vents venant de la mer. En partant du sud du village d’Asran, les voyageurs rencontreront sur le route, le village de Lesoka à l’est de la forêt Belas et puis en allant ver le golf de Brimland la ville de Kalia. Plus au sud, se trouvait le village côtier de Denkal et au pied du Cerban et la frontière avec le royaume de Vuntes, la ville d’Ipoly. Le fleuve Voxalie n’était pas le seule cours d’eau du royaume, le fleuve avait deux affluents, la rivière Lolen coulant du nord et la rivière Aomin venant du sud du royaume. Plus au nord les eaux du Dinel et son affluent la rivière Belril se jetait dans la baie de Daral.

[English] Yamenon

Spreading between the kingdom of Glarya and the kingdom Flarrery, guarded by the mountain range of the Keliro,was a kingdom which name wasn’t pronounced during many centuries. kingdom formerly known as the twin  of Glarya.

Yamenon was a kingdom where the summer and the winter was dancing from the morning to the night, however after the first cataclysm that urged the creation of the legendary sword of Cutsosaxordia, the kingdom became a unwelcoming place where no one was living and a few people dare to go. The most courageous one was coming back with dark stories, talking about the ruined villages et dry  or unhealthy water, animals corpses eaten by scavengers. The sun was always surrounded by a veil of thick fog that was blocking its warm ray, the soil became cold without being freezed.

The fog embracing the kingdom was hiding the vestiges of a war, war the Ellavionien was trying to forget, leaving the archives of old  texts and manuscripts the duty of transforming the period of the continent history in legend.

The capital Dogoz, was built on shore of the lake Zand, lake formed by the rivers Issdar and where was taking its source the river Xand before flowing in the Bay of Harwaki. More in the east, was the village of Rakav while in the south was the village of Ivagos. It was by this village the travellers from the kingdom of Flarrery was arriving in Yamenon. In the north on the shore if the sea of Stamfails was built the village of Rakken between the rivers of Xand and Gok.

Now the kingdom was only ruines and desolation.

S’étalant entre Glarya et Flarrery, gardé par la chaîne de montagne du Keliro, se trouvait un royaume dont le nom n’avait pas été prononcé depuis plusieurs siècles, prisonniers du passé à la suite d’un cataclysme qui ravagea le royaume pendant plusieurs années. Ce royaume sans nom était autrefois le royaume jumeau de Glarya. Yamenon, était jadis une terte où l’été et l’hiver dansait du matin au soir, mais après le premier Cataclysme qui poussa les royaumes à créer l’épée légendaire, Custosaxordia, le royaume devint une terre hostile où nulle de vivait et peu de gens osaient s’aventurer. Les plus courageux, revenaient avec des récits sombres parlant des villages en ruine et cours d’eau asséchés ou insalubres, de carcasses d’animaux dévorer par les charognards. Le soleil voilé en permanence par un épais brouillard ne pouvait plus réchauffer la terre, qui était froide sans être pour autant glacée. Le brouillard enveloppant le royaume, dissimulait les vestiges d’une à guerre que les Ellavioniens s’efforçaient d’oublier, laissant les recueils des textes anciens la tâche de transformer cette période de l’histoire du continent en légende. La capital, Dogoz avait été construite sur les rive du lac de Zand, lac formé par la rivière Issdar et où prenait sa source le fleuve Xans qui se jetait dans la Baie de Harwaki. Plus à l’est se trouvait le village de Rakav, alors qu’au sud se trouvait le village de Ivagos, c’est par ce village que les voyageurs qui venaient du royaume de Flarrery arrivait. Au nord à proximité des rives de la mer de Stamfail, était établie le village de Rakken entre le fleuve Xans et le fleuve Gok. Maintenant le royaume n’était que ruines et désolation.
